Taking PRIDE in your community means taking action.
Some shifts do require physical work, such as setting up tables, directing traffic, or walking alongside the March as a monitor. Other shifts are less physically demanding such as assisting with arts and crafts projects in the Family Area, monitoring the festival gate, and helping at the information booth. Please let us know if you have special needs, or health restrictions, and we will gladly find an appropriate shift for you. As a volunteer you will meet people from around Michigan, have fun, sweat a bit, and undoubtedly leave feeling good. Your reward for your hard work is priceless, for at the end of the day you will have helped create a space for thousands of LGBT people to come out and show their Pride! Our volunteers also receive a
special T-shirt to wear during their shift and other goodies as a
thank you from Michigan Pride and our sponsors.
Volunteering is easy and fun -
just go to the Volunteer tent and tell them you're ready to
help. You will have the grattitude of Michigan Pride, and all
those who attend the event. You can also contact us through
the email address listed on this site, download the Volunteer pdf (type in, print, and mail), or simply register to volunteer online.
